Synthematik and Front! Promotion present a brand new EP titled “Girl With The Knife” from the talented Ukrainian dark electro band DIRTY BIRD 13!
DIRTY BIRD 13 was formed in 2009 by Denis Cherryman and Alexander Sol in Horlivka, Ukraine. After releasing a demo in 2009 and the single ‘Ja Budu Zhit’ [I Will Survive]’ in 2010, DB13 have established themselves as one of the most promising newcomers in the East European dark electro / industrial scene.
The new tracks may surprise many fans of the project with an unexpected change in the sound which now treads the territories of TBM, dubstep and new beat, not to mention the presence of female vocals. Still there is no need to worry as this EP is just meant to demonstrate that the band is capable of experimenting with music beyond the trends of contemporary dark electro.
In addition to the four original tracks, each representing a different style, the paid version of the release contains two bonus remixes – a club mix of the title track and a remix of ‘Ja Budu Zhit’ [I Will Survive]’ by Diversant:13.
“Girl With The Knife” is yet another step taken by DB13 towards crafting their own recognizable sound, which makes their forthcoming debut album even more worth anticipating.

Synthematik presents the brand new album “Equilibrium Path” from the Ukrainian industrial project Whitar created in collaboration with Lucem Fero (Tunisia) and Tyrant Of Death (Canada)!
Whitar is a one-man project brought to life in 2008 by Max Whitar. After releasing a demo in 2009 followed by the debut album “Tracing Vacuum” in 2010, the project has established itself as one of the most interesting experimental electro-industrial acts on the postsoviet dark scene.
The new album is an experiment that may surprise many waiting fans with a much heavier and darker sound, not least of all thanks to the talented musicians who collaborated on several tracks. The Tunisian singer Omar Aijia aka Lucem Fero contributed with vocals and lyrics, while Alex Rise of the extreme industrial metal band Tyrant Of Death added his trademark guitars.
“Equilibrium Path” is where layered experimental sound structures and pounding industrial beats meet aggressive guitar riffs and heavily distorted harsh vocals, all together creating an original dark, thick atmosphere.
The paid high quality version of the release contains an exclusive remix from the up and coming Ukranian tribal-industrial project Na-Hag.

Synthematik presents the long-awaited debut album “Budet Laskovyj Dozhd…” from the Belarusian synthpop / darkwave project Kosmodromm!
The project was formed in 2008 by Eiden Dark and D-Emsi. After a couple of self-released singles, they teamed up with Synthematik to release Kosmodromm 1.0 EP in February 2010. The EP received a lot of positive feedback recognizing the undeniable originality of the project. Now Kosmodromm returns with the first full-length release.
“Budet Laskovyj Dozhd…” (which means “There will come soft rains”) is a direct quote of Ray Bradbury’s famous short story of the same name telling about a post-nuclear war world. The lyrics on the album touch upon similar things with the focus on Chernobyl, the dreadful disaster witnessed by both musicians in their childhood.
Music-wise, the album showcases Kosmodromm’s vision of dark electronica balancing between synthpop and darkwave. With extensive use of vintage analog synths and the deep, soft voice of Eiden Dark, Kosmodromm manage to create a unique captivating atmosphere hard to compare with anything else.
“Budet Laskovyj Dozhd…” is not another collection of club-oriented tracks, but a thoughtful conceptual work with each piece being significant to the whole picture.
